Thrassos Panidis

Thrassos Panidis is Professor of Transport Phenomena and Director of the Energy, Aeronautics and Environment Division, MEAD/U. Patras. He was leading investigator for U. Patras in several EU aviation related (ECATS, AircraftFire) and National (Combustion, Sprays) projects. Thrassos has a large experience in conference organization (ECATS, EASN, EUROTHERM, etc.) and dissemination activities (Guest Editor for Aircr. Eng. Aerosp. Tec., Aerosp. Sci. Technol.). He has over 30 years of teaching experience and has served as the director of the Vocational Training Centre of U. Patras. Prof. Dave Raper (male) is Professor of Environmental Science and Director of CATE. He was participant in several EU aviation-related projects, e.g. AERO2K, AERONET, X-Noise, ECATS, SAMPLE, AVIATOR. David was a lead author for the IPCC Special Report ‘Aviation and the Global Atmosphere’. He was principal investigator on the UK funded project focused on aviation & environment - OMEGA. (UK).
